This upcoming NBA All-Star Draft will be the second of it's kind as Team LeBron edged out Team Stephen 148-145 in last season's classic. Last year's matchup felt like a real game with players actually playing defense which was unheard of in past All-Star games. This year LeBron James will have the fisrt pick for the starters as the overall vote leader with Giannis Antetokounmpo picking first for the reserves and LeBron again having the first pick in a special third round with Dwayne Wade and Dirk Nowitzki. With so many storylines to this it will be interesting to see how this draft unfolds. Here's our guess:
Starters
Team LeBron - Kevin Durant

With LeBron taking Durant last year and winning the game, I don't see that anything changes. I think it's between Durant and Curry as most people do but feel as if LeBron will still go with the guy who he thinks are the two best in the league.
Team Giannis - Stephen Curry

The man could finish the season averaging 30 points per game while shooting 50% from three. I would be surprised if Giannis took anyone other than Curry if he is available.
Team LeBron - Kyrie Irving

The two have been to three Finals trips together and carried Cleveland to their first title in 52 years. LeBron picked Kyrie last year as a starter and I see the same occurring for this one.
Team Giannis - Kawhi Leonard

Leonard has helped lead the Raptors to a potential top two seed in the NBA Playoffs. The Raptors are challenging Giannis Bucks for the number one seed in the East and it's likely that one of these teams end up in the NBA Finals. With this years game expecting defense similar to lasts, I see Leonard being taken here.
Team LeBron - Paul George

These two have had battles in the Eastern Conference Finals when James was with the Heat and George was in Indiana. LeBron had George on last years team as well and George is having his best season since his injury leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a top spot in the West.
Team Giannis - Joel Embiid

At this point Antetokounmpo would have a Point Guard and two athletic wing players which is why Embiid fits perfectly for this pick. This team would have an advantage inside with no other starter as big and tall as Embiid. He would also be able to stretch the floor with his ability to hit threes which could help space the floor for rest of the team.
Team LeBron - Kemba Walker

I feel as if this would be the spot to take the local star. Seeing that the game is being played in Charolette, I see LeBron taking Walker who is having a career year and currently positioning the Hornets into a playoff spot. With this pick, the crowd will easily be on Team LeBron's side.
Team Giannis - James Harden

Reserves
Team Giannis - Khris Middleton

I don't see Antetokounmpo taking anyone other than his Bucks teammate Khris Middleton. Also, the two could end up playing in the NBA Finals later this year. Same squad, same squad, same squad.
Team LeBron - Anthony Davis

If the reports out there are true that the Laker are already making offers for Davis then I definitely see James taking Davis with his first reserve pick. The two were teammates last year as starters helping lead the team to a win. LeBron to this point has no big men so this would be a perfect fit.
Team Giannis - Nikola Jokic

I feel as if theres an international/European connection here with Jokic being from Serbia and Antetokounmpo reigning from Greece. I also think there will be recognition in this considering the Nuggets are tied with the Warriors for the number one seed in the Western Conference.
Team LeBron - Klay Thompson

Pyromania - an impulse control disorder in which an individual repeatedly fail to resist impulses to deliberately start fires. LeBron has recognized Klay's arsonistic performances via Instagram and in first person when Klay hit an NBA record 10 threes to start a game in a blowout win over the Lakers. Shooting and defense is something no team can have enough of.
Team Giannis - Russell Westbrook

Westbrook is a guy who can get you quick points in a game like this by just taking it end to end if the defense is slacking. I see Team Giannis taking the former MVP here.
Team LeBron - Ben Simmons

The two have trained together in the past and it genuinely seems the two are good friends. Simmons basically brings a lot the same skillsets as LeBron with his size and passing ability that are unique from other players of their stature. Simmons is the perfect player to run the team like LeBron coming off the bench.
Team Giannis - Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard will be making his fourth All-Star appearance for the Portland Trailblazers and is leading the team to a potential top four spot in the West.
Team LeBron - Bradley Beal

With John Wall out for the season the Wizards have looked to Beal to lead the team and he truly is doing everything in his power to do so. He's averaging a career high in points, rebounds, assists, and steals so far this season and has the Wizards only 2.5 games back for a playoff spot.
Team Giannis - LaMarcus Aldridge

At this point it's even more difficult to predict who takes who but I like the season Alrdridge is having with the Spurs most likely helping them to yet another playoff appearance later this season.
Team LeBron - Blake Griffin

Even though Michael Jordan prefers Blake Griffin to star in Space Jame 2 over James, LeBron still needs some more bigs on his roster. Griffin is leading the Detroit Pistons averaging 26 points per game to go along with 8 rebounds and has the Pistons 2 games out of a playoff spot.
Team Giannis - Nikola Vucevic

Staying with the International connection here as I have Giannis going with first time Orlando Magic All-Star Nikola Vucevic. Vucevic is a Montenegrin star potentially making the first of many All-Star games.
Team LeBron - Karl Anthony-Towns

At this point of the draft LeBron might want some insurance with his bigs. Towns provides that as a 7-footer who can protect the rim and still get his scorers. It's likely that we will continue to see Towns in this game long into the future.
Team Giannis - D'Angelo Russell

The first-time All-Star is only a year and a half removed from being traded from the Lakers to the Brooklyn Nets where he has thrived leading the Nets to a potential playoff spot. He is averaging 19 points with 6 assists for a team no one believed would be this good.
Team LeBron - Kyle Lowry

These two have met in the Eastern Conference Playoffs numerous times and Lowry continues to help guide his team to top spot in the East this season as well.
Round 3
Team LeBron - Dwayne Wade

Adam Silver has made some special additions to the All-Star game adding future Hall of Famers Dwayne Wade and Dirk Nowitzki. James and Wade have been to the Finals together four times and have won two titles together so this would be the biggest no-brainer out of all of these selections in celebration of Wade's final season in the NBA.
Team Giannis - Dirk Nowitzki

With the final selection of this years NBA All-Star draft I have the top current International player taking arguably the greatest international player of all time.
And that's a wrap for this years NBA All-Star Draft predictions. Let's see how this plays out...
