The NFL and the WWE are both known for their hard hitting and drama filled nature. It brings excitement to everyday Americans and creates a sense of suspense that lasts throughout the season/year. So we thought...why not compare the two? Here's what we came up with:
Antonio Brown - Rey Mysterio

Two of the shortest yet most athletic out of this list. Antonio Brown and Rey Mysterio pound for pound are two of the best in their professions. The 5'10" 7-time Pro-Bowler was a 6th round pick which easily has turned out to be one of the greatest draft pick ups in NFL history. He is known for his acrobatic catches, speed, moves, and big plays. Rey Mysterio is also known for a lot of these traits. Standing at only 5'6", Mysterio is one of shortest members of the WWE. Mysterio is widely considered to be the greatest Cruiserweight in WWE history for his incredibly athletic and exciting fighting style along with his continued success. Both of these guys are future Hall of Famers and will go down as two of the most fun to watch in each of their professions.

Russell Wilson - Kurt Angle

This is one of my favorite comparisons just because of how alike they actually are within the NFL and WWE. Both of these guys have their own beliefs and persona which may differ from the common fan but they don't let that change who they are and embrace their haters. Both have been to the top of the mountain in each of their backgrounds with Kurt Angle also being an Olympic Gold Medalist with a broken neck. From the You Suck chants heard every time Angle's theme drops to the fact that no one really likes the Seahawks, both of these guys continue to do their thing. They also both share similar opinions on not making it around the bases. Wilson openly talks about saving it until after marriage and Angle has preached his opinion on the matter on Monday Night Raw. Simply put they are two.....fogles.

Frank Gore - The Undertaker

Tenured, proven, and still killin' it. These are a few of many similarities between the 15+ season NFL Running-back and 30+ year wrestling superstar. Frank Gore and The Undertaker have accomplished essentially untouchable numbers in their professions. Frank Gore recently passed Curtis Martin to move into fourth place on the NFL rushing leaderboard while The Undertaker held a 21 win streak at Wrestlemania. Both of these guys continue to do it and who knows when they will be truly done.

Troy Polamalu - Jeff Hardy

High-flying, hard-hitting, risk takers. This basically describes these two who both single handedly can put on a show. Polamalu who is an 8-time pro bowler and twice NFL champion, is known for his one-handed interceptions, incredible athleticism, and unreal plays. He's known to be a more quiet dude similar to Jeff Hardy. Both of these guys were never the loudest or known as talkative individuals. They simply just created excitement in their play. Jeff Hardy was known for his insane stunts in the WWE ranging from ladders, 30 feet in the air, off of a cage, or onto tables. He would seemingly be willing to drop Swanton Bombs from anywhere onto anything and on anyone.

Tom Brady - John Cena

5-time Superbowl champion tied for most in NFL history and 16-time WWE Champion tied for most in WWE history, these two mirror one another's success. Tom Brady seemingly is the headliner yearly during the NFL playoffs while you expect John Cena to be defending or contending for the WWE Championship almost every Wrestlemania. Cena, a Boston native, even gave Tom Brady a shoutout on Sportscenter saying: "You are great; you are part of a great organization that prides itself on trying to create a dynasty atmosphere." Cena is also seen saying that he and Brady run parallel lives. Whether punishing opponents with an FU/AA or making them tap out with an STF, Cena typically perseveres one way or another. Brady also knows how to just win no matter how late in the game it may be nor how much he's down by. The man overcame a 25 point deficit in the Superbowl with 18 minutes left to play basically defines what type of player Brady is. Out of no where he became Superbowl MVP. It's almost like you couldn't see him...

J.J. Watt - The Rock

Let me just start by reminding people that Dwayne The Rock Johnson won a National Championship with his Miami Hurricane's in 1991. Something that a lot of people may not know which shows how The Rock was already a football star from the jump. As a Defensive tackle, The Rock was a part of an undefeated 12-win Miami Hurricane team.

It took a then future Hall of Famer Warren Sapp to take his spot. In the long run it didn't matter too much as The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment went on to become arguably the greatest WWE superstar of all time and a Hollywood superstar appearing in numerous critically acclaimed movies and shows. The Rock is known for his hard hitting J.J. Watt, arguably the greatest defensive player in NFL history has been recognized by WWE stars as a potential WWE member. Even though he is tied for most Defensive Player of the Year awards, J.J. Watt is also known for his charisma and how he also cares about his community and audience similar to The Rock. J.J. Watt raised $41.6 million for Hurricane Harvey relief making it the largest crowd-sourced fundraiser in world history. No matter who you are it's pretty much impossible to hate on these dudes.

Aaron Rodgers - Stone Cold Steve Austin

Basically two one man armies right here. Anytime Aaron Rodgers or Stone Cold Steve Austin are in the arena it's almost a guarantee that they single-handedly will be implementing damage on who ever is on the other side. Whether it's the Texas Rattlesnake taking out about 10 WCW/ECW wrestlers at once by himself or Aaron Rodgers returning from injury and being down 17 to win, these two define putting the team on your back. They are easily some of the scariest dudes in their professions. Aaron Rodgers is arguably the top QB in the NFL while Austin is considered by many to be the greatest professional wrestler ever. Both of these men also enjoy their alcohol. Rodgers prefers his Scotch after games while he's watching and reviewing film while Austin enjoys his beer during work and doesn't mind sharing it with others including his boss in the form of a beer bath. Simply put they are two.....legends.

.....AND THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE...CUZ STONE COLD SAID SO.
