The Emergence of Jordan Bell

So when? When will Jordan Bell take over Zaza’s spot in the Warriors starting lineup? I’m sure that’s what most of us are asking ourselves and it may be the biggest question regarding the Warriors of the 2017-2018 season. The man is ballin’ averaging 9.8 PPG, 5 Boards, 4 Assists, 1.4 blocks, and over one steal in 25 minutes per game over his last five in Zaza’s absence. Oh yeah, he’s also shooting 72% from field and 80% from free throw for the year. He’s shown us so much in just the last five games of what he can do from his locker room sending block on Brandon Ingram to his one man fast break step around move on the Lakers a few nights later. That’s our center that just did that…..

I personally take pride in calling this potential move of Bell into the starting lineup since summer time. The thing is, no one knows what goes on in Steve Kerr’s mind especially regarding playing time for bigs. Let's not talk about Anderson Varejao getting play time in game 7 of…...nevermind.

Either way, it is very impressive to see what Bell is doing especially considering all the bigs we’ve drafted over the last few years before him. He’s just outplaying all of them. Now that we have all seen what Jordan Bell is capable of, I’m sure it wouldn’t surprise to us if he becomes a major part of the Warriors rotation moving forward as it looks like we finally have a big to rely on.
