From NBA 2K's debut in 2000 to the most recent version in 2019, every year one of the most notorious sports games ever equips itself with a playlist that's unique in comparison to any previous years. Ok well maybe there's a couple songs that are heard multiple times throughout the series but that's mostly just Chali 2na. We've replayed the soundtracks throughout NBA 2K history and decided to rank our top 5. This was a little tough...

5. NBA 2K7

From Hieroglyphics, A Tribe Called Quest, Lupe Fiasco and Zion I to E-40 & San Quinn, NBA 2K7 brings the realness. This entire playlist was assembled by Dan the Automater which you can easily tell as he repeats his name probably 50+ times throughout the Intro. Shout out to E-40 and San Quinn for shouting out J-Rich and the Warriors before the We Believe era and current Warriors.

4. NBA 2K10

SPOILER: Chali 2na has TWO tracks on here. He truly is an NBA 2K staple. NBA 2K10 was the tenth installment of the series so you know they had to get this right and I definitely feel as if they did. This soundtrack also has two songs by Ratatat and tracks from MGMT, Matisyahu, The Game as well as Kanye West ft. Young Jeezy.

3. NBA 2K16

This soundtrack was put together by producers Mustard, DJ Khaled and DJ Premier and spans over 50 tracks being the largest tracklist in NBA 2K history at the time. Iamsu, Drake, J.Cole, Calvin Harris and Nas are just a few names heard on this one. This was one of the best NBA 2K soundtracks in recent years with music most current players probably have heard.

2. NBA 2K13

Jay-Z was given the title of Executive Producer in this one and he did not disappoint. Too Short, Daft Punk, Mobb Deep, Meek Mill and Notorious BIG all had hits in this one. This also has a very prominent duplicate of a song from a past NBA 2K, Amazing by Kanye West Ft. Young Jeezy which we heard in NBA 2K10. Every song in here is a hit so there was no need to adjust your Music Settings. This one was a potential number one on our list but still earned it's spot at two.

1. NBA 2K18

Yes I know this is very recent but overall this made sense at number one. From Souls of Mischief, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Outkast to Lil Uzi Vert, RL Grime and Shakira, this playlist has a bit of everything. It even has a track by Dame D.O.L.L.A who has been notorious for his musical talents off the court. Overall this deserved the number one spot in my opinion for its versatility and banger factor.

That's all for our NBA 2K Soundtrack rankings.

Until next time.
